Dr. Alex Tatevian has over 30 years of acupuncture experience and offers an integrative approach to wellness, including traditional acupuncture, state-of-the-art laser acupuncture and other therapies. He offers expert treatment for back pain, headaches, neuromuscular disorders, and more. He is a board certified NCCAOM Diplomat in Acupuncture, Chinese Herbology and Oriental Medicine, and a licensed Doctor of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine in Rhode Island (license #DAOM 00004) He is President and Founder of the Foundation for Research in Acupuncture and Integrative Medicine (F.R.A.I.M.) and a Fellow of the Association of Clinical Scientists.

Dr. Tatevian had the honor of receiving his MD Degree from the Pirogov Russian National Research Medical University (RNRMU) in Moscow, a World most respected Medical School; class of 1978; with consequent postgraduate training. He specialized in acupuncture at the Institute for Advanced Postgraduate Medical Education in Moscow, class of 1982. In 1983-85 Dr. Alex Tatevian worked in Antarctica during his appointment as a primary care physician with the Antarctic Scientific Expeditions, where he provided total health care utilizing conventional medicine and acupuncture for the expedition participants.

Dr. Tatevian has created and maintained highly acclaimed educational acupuncture website www.DoctorGetWell.org since 2001.

Dr. Alex Tatevian became the first acupuncturist on staff at the Women & Infants Hospital of RI with clinical privileges and full appointment granted, where he was also a principal researcher conducting a clinical crossover trial at the Women's Oncology Program, Women & Infant's Hospital of Rhode Island, investigating the efficacy of acupuncture as an adjunct for alleviating the side-effects associated with chemotherapy.
